Day 01,
Delhi

Welcome to India! Accommodation held for immediate occupancy.


Day 02,
Arrival Delhi by international flight

You will arrive at New Delhi's International Airport early in the morning. Following customs, immigration formalities and baggage collection, our representative will meet you as you exit the arrival terminal building after which you will be transferred to the hotel for check-in (accommodation will be held for immediate occupancy from previous night).
India's capital and a major gateway to the country, contemporary Delhi is a bustling metropolis, which successfully combines in its folds- the ancient with the modern. Amidst the fast spiraling skyscrapers, the remnants of the bygone time in the form of its many monuments stand as silent reminders to the region's ancient legacy. The first impressions for any visitor traveling in from the airport are of a specious, garden city, tree-lined with a number of beautiful parks.

Delhi


In the afternoon, proceed for a half day sightseeing tour of New Delhi.
The tour to Imperial Delhi will include a visit to the Humayun's Tomb, Qutab Minar, tallest stone tower in India. Qutub-ud-din Aibak started it in 1199. Pulling down 27 Hindu and Jain temples and using their columns erected the attached Quwwat-ul-Islam mosque also built by him. Later, the tour will include a drive past the imposing India Gate, the Parliament building and the Rashtrapati Bhawan, the Pesident's residence.
Your sightseeing tour also includes a short metro ride in the capital city of Delhi followed by a visit to Delhi Haat.

This Food and Craft Bazaar is a treasure house for Indian culture, handicrafts and ethnic cuisine. As a unique Bazaar in the heart of the city, it displays the richness of Indian culture on a permanent basis.
Back to the hotel for a short pause before departure for dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 03,
Delhi- Agra

Breakfast at the hotel.

In the morning, you will enjoy a half day sightseeing tour of Old Delhi.
Your Old Delhi tour will begin with a visit to Raj Ghat, a simple memorial to Mahatma Gandhi; drive past the Red Fort (closed on Mondays), and the fabled shopping bazaar, Chandni Chowk (Silver Street). Continue visit to the Jama Masjid, one of Asia's largest mosques. The magnificent Red Fort, overlooking the River Jamuna was built during the years 1638-1648. when the Moghul Empire was at its peak. Enjoy a short Rickshaw Ride in Chandni Chowk. Also visit Raj Ghat and see the memorial dedicated to Mahatma Ghandi.

Agra


After the tour, you will be driven to Agra (approx. 205KM/ 4,30 hrs. drive). Upon arrival Agra, check in and installation at the hotel

Agra is globally renowned as the city of the Taj Mahal. But this royal Mughal city has, in addition to the legendary Taj, many monuments that epitomize the high point of Mughal architecture. No tour to India can be complete without paying a visit to this erstwhile capital of the Mughals and the city of the Taj Mahal, the world's most beloved monument. With its laidback lifestyle and its immense wealth of architecture, handicrafts and jewelry, Agra is amongst the most remarkable cities of the world.

Day 04,
Agra

After breakfast at the hotel, proceed to visit the world renowned Taj Mahal (closed on Fridays) and Agra Fort.

Referred to as one of the wonders of the world, the Taj Mahal in Agra is the epitome of tourism in India and is celebrated for its architectural magnificence and aesthetic beauty. A symphony in white marble, a tribute to eternal love, it was built by the emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal.There are tombs of Mumtaz and Shahjahan within the mausoleum. Done in white marble, it took 22 years and over 20,000 workers and craftsmen to complete this rhapsody in stone (1630-52 AD). The main structure is set amidst landscape gardens. While on three sides it is surrounded by high walls, the rear is bound by the river Yamuna.

Tadzs Mahal


Continue your sightseeing tour to Agra Fort. Few forts in the world have a more fascinating story to tell than the Great Fort of Agra, an outstanding example of Mughal architecture and the seat and stronghold of the Mughal Empire under successive generations. Originally planned as an impregnable military structure by Akbar, the Agra Fort, over a period, acquired all the elegance, lavishness and majesty of an imperial palace. Situated 1 km of upstream of the Taj Mahal, on the right bank of the Yamuna, the Agra Fort was built under the direction of Akbar, by Mohammed Quasim Khan, his commander-in-Chief and Governor of Kabul and added to by his son Jehangir and grandson Shahjahan.

Day 05,
Agra - Fatehpur Sikri - Jaipur

Drive to Jaipur (approx. 258KM/6 hours drive)
En route, stop to visit Fatehpur Sikri.
FatehPur Sikri, the deserted red sandstone city, was built by the great Mughal Emperor Akbar as his capital in the late 16th century. It was abandoned soon after it was built when the local wells went dry and it remains today in much the same condition that it was over 300 years ago. It is complete with palaces and mosques and used to be a town larger than London when it was originally constructed. Now it is an extraordinary place to wander around with its buildings in near perfect condition. At the foot of the ridge, an artificial lake has been created which forms one side of the city. Awesome walls with 9 gates protect the three other sides. Today the perfectly preserved public halls and private residences speak of a telling unity; it is an epic poem in red sandstone.
Following the visit, continue your drive to Jaipur.

Fatehpur Szikri

Jaipur is not only the gateway to the state; it is also the most natural place to begin a discovery of Rajasthan's multifaceted attractions. Its beautiful buildings include the City Palace, Amer Fort, and the landmark Hawa Mahal are truly worth seeing. Browsing through the markets in Jaipur, you will find jewelry, paintings, carvings and colorful textiles, is an enjoyable experience for tourists.

Day 06,
Jaipur

After breakfast at the hotel, departure to visit Amber Fort with a photo stop at the Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds)- a five-storied wonder with a spectacular pyramid facade and overhanging windows with latticed screens, domes and spires. Continue driving to the ancient capital of Amer to see the fabulous Amber Fort, situated on a ridge just outside Jaipur city. The fort is surrounded by fortified battlements and overlooks the Moat Lake. Ruins and remains are spread over the Aravalli hills and sprawling crenellated walls lattice the surrounding area.
Back to the hotel and afternoon at leisure for independent activities.
In the evening, departure for a cooking demonstration followed by dinner at an Indian family’s place.

Jaipur

Back to the hotel and overnight.


Day 07,
Jaipur - Delhi

After breakfast at the hotel, drive back to Delhi (260KM/7 hours drive approx.). Upon arrival, check in and installation at your hotel

Day 08,
Delhi - Kathmandu - Nagarkot

Breakfast at the hotel and free morning at leisure.

Check out from your hotel at noon, meet and assist by our representative and transfer to the airport to board the flight to Kathmandu.
Arrival Kathmandu around 14:00PM, and upon arrival, meet and assist by our representative at the airport and you will be driven to Nagarkot (40KM/ 1 hour approximately)

Nagarkot

Nagarkot is surrounded by thickly forested hills of pine trees which give you an idyllic escape- with only the wind and the sound of rustling leaves to disturb you. It is a rustic resort high on the northern fringe of the Kathmandu valley. It is an outstanding hilltop that offers great views of Himalayas, breathtaking mountain scenery and the most impressive views of sunrise and sunset. From Nagarkot, one sees the breathtaking views of the major Himalayan peaks of Nepal like Manaslu, Ganesh, Langtang, dorje Lakpa, sisa pagma, Choyu, Gauri Shankar, etc. On a clear crystal day, one can even see the tip of Mount Everest (8848m) from here.


Day 09,
Nagarkot - Chitwan

Breakfast at the hotel.

Morning drive to Chitwan (190KM/5 hours approximately).
Upon arrival, check-in and installation at the hotel.
In the afternoon, Elephant-back Safari. Guests will ride on elephants to explore the jungle and wildlife: the one-horned rhinoceros, several types of deers, monkeys, wild boar, bison, sloth bear, leopard and, if lucky, the Royal Bengal Tiger. This exciting ride lasts for 2-3 hours.

Evening Slide Presentation. One of our jungle experts will introduce the background data and history of the Royal Chitwan National Park as well as some other topics relating to wildlife.

Day 10,
Chitwan

Early morning Jungle Walk and Trekking to explore the flora and the fauna of the National Park.
Return to the hotel for breakfast.
Afternoon visit to Gharial (Alligator) Breeding Center/Canoeing. Drive up to the entrance of the National Park Headquarter 'Kasara' by Land Rover to visit the Gharial Breeding Center, then start a short walk to see the center. After a short briefing about the project and the visit, walk back to the stand-by Land Rovers, which will take the guests to the river for the canoeing programs. Start canoeing in a traditional dug-out canoe, which takes you on a silent trip down the Rapti River to view aquatic birds, crocodiles and the animals of the riverbanks. After canoeing drive back to the resort. This combination program will be of about 2 hours.

Day 11,
Chitwan - Kathmandu

Morning drive to Kathmandu (200KM/6 hours approximately).
Upon arrival, check-in and installation at the hotel.

The capital of the ancient Kingdom of Nepal, Kathmandu has the air of a medieval city; a maze of narrow streets, wooden temples and beautifully decorated palaces. In the background there is often the gentle sound of the jangling cymbals and the markets are a rich blend of colors and aromas. Only in the 1950's was Nepal opened up to visitors and today the contrast between the 21st century technology and traditional lifestyles help to make Kathmandu one of the world's most fascinating cities.

Day 12,
Kathmandu

Morning sightseeing in Kathmandu City which includes Durbar Square- it is in the old city of Kathmandu in Basantapur. The complex was residence to Nepal's family before the construction of the Narayanhiti Palace. There are around 50 temples in the vicinity including the temple of titular deity, Thaleju Bhawani- the tallest of all structures built by King Mahendra Malla in 1549 AD. The Durbar is divided into two courtyards, the outer comprising Kasthamandap- a monument built from the trunk of a single tree from which the name of the city Kathmandu was derived. Kumari Ghar-the Temple of the Living Goddess and Shiva-Parvati Temple, and the inner consisting of Hanuman Dhoka and the main palace.
Continue sightseeing tour of Swayambhunath Stupaliterally meaning 'Self-Existent One'. Swayambhunath is believed to have been established more than 2,500 years ago. The history of Kathmandu Valley is said to have started with the beginning of Swayambhu. The largest image of the Sakyamuni Buddha in Nepal is in the monastery next to the Stupa.

Day 13,
Kathmandu

Breakfast at the hotel. Morning visit to Pasupatinath and Boudhanath.

Afternoon sightseeing tour of Bhaktapur City, Kathamandu Valley's most medieval city also known as the Bhadgaon. It is situated about 13KM east of Kathmandu and was one of the three Kingdoms of the Mallas. Here one visits the Lion Gate, the Picture Gallery, the Golden Gate and the Palace of 55 Windows. Here are the ancient temples and palaces which show the Newari craftsmanship of carved wooden windows and latticework.
Bhaktapur is situated in an altitude of 1,401 meters and covers an area of 4 square miles. The place is famous for woodcarving and the Bhadgaolen topi or cap. It is also renowned of its myriad wonders of cultural and artistic achievements. The most famous picture of this area is Bhaktapur Durbar Square.
The Palace of 55 Windows, the Stone Temple of Batsala Devi full of convoluted carvings, innumerable temples, architectural showpieces like the Lion Gate, the statue of King Bhupatindra Malla, the Picture Gallery, the Batsala Temple, etc. are the major focal points of Bhaktapur Durbar Square that was listed in the UNESCO World Heritage Monuments List in 1979.
