Day 1 Helsinki

Individual arrival to the hotel. 
At 18:00hrs you will have a short briefing with your tour escort

Overnight at the centrally located Scandic Grand Marina Hotel or similar.

Day 2 Helsinki – Silja Line

Buffet breakfast at the hotel
Morning city tour of the Finnish Capital with a local guide.
You will see the colourful harbour market, the neo-classical Senate Square, the Cathedral, the Sibelius monument, the Russian orthodox Uspenski Cathedral and the famous Church in the Rock: Temppeliaukio.
Some time at leisure. Late afternoon transfer to the pier for embarkation of the overnight cruise to Stockholm.
Buffet dinner on board with drinks included.

Day 3 Stockholm

Breakfast buffet on board as you sail through the breath-taking Stockholm archipelago. 
Morning city tour of Stockholm with a local guide who will take you on a guided tour of the Swedish capital. From Fjällgatan, you will have the view of Stockholm spread out on 14 islands connected by bridges. You will visit Gamla Stan, the old city with its narrow cobbled-stoned lanes, charming small squares, medieval buildings in happy colours, Cathedral and the Royal Palace. Afternoon free.

Day 4 Stockholm

Day at leisure in Stockholm or you may opt for an optional tour to visit the City Hall where the annual Nobel Prize banquet is held and the fascinating Vasa Ship Museum with the unique wooden warship who sank in Stockholm’s harbour on its maiden voyage and was salvaged intact 333 years later.

Excursion by coach with a local guide to the Vasa Museum. The Vasa Warship was the glory of the Swedish navy, but it sank on its virgin trip in 1628. It was recovered 333 years later and now the ship and its recovered objects are on display. Continue to Stockholm City Hall where the Nobel Prize banquet is held every year. The visit will include both the Blue Hall and the Golden Hall.

Day 5 Stockholm - Hamar

Buffet breakfast at the hotel
Today, you will start your journey by coach towards Norway passing open landscapes, dense forests and glittering lakes. You will stop in the city of Karlstad, the capital of the province of Värmland beautifully located on the shores of Lake Vänern, the largest of Sweden’s lakes. After crossing the border into Norway, you will continue to Hamar located by Norway’s largest Lake Mjøsa.

Day 6 Hamar – Lom- Geiranger

Buffet breakfast at the hotel
First stop today is Lillehammer, where the 1994 winter Olympics took place. You will then continue North through the green, fertile farmland of Gudbrands Valley.
In Lom, you stop to contemplate the amazing wooden stave church dating back to the 12th century. Your route then continues via Grotli to Geiranger. A photo-stop is made before descending the hairpin curves to the village by the fjord. The fjord and the surrounding mountains give a unique and fabulous backdrop to your stay.

Day 7 Geiranger - Briksdal Glacier - Balestrand

Buffet breakfast at the hotel
Morning cruise on the UNESCO listed Geiranger Fjord with the impressive waterfalls ”the Bridal Veil” and “the Seven Sisters”.
Continue to Briksdal Glacier. The last part of the journey up to the glacier will be in the motorized open Troll Cars, allowing you to enjoy the full panoramic view.
After the glacier experience, you will sit back in the coach and enjoy the views of mountains and fjords passing by as you drive towards Balestrand. The route will take you through the Gaular Mountain National Park.
In the late afternoon, you will reach the beautiful resort Balestrand located on the shores of the fjord and surrounded by high mountains. This unique spot is a good candidate for the most beautiful place on earth.

Day 8 Balestrand - Bergen

Buffet breakfast at the hotel
Ferry across to Hella and continue along the scenic coastal route to Manheller for a short ferry crossing to Fodnes. You will then continue to Gudvangen, where you board a 2 hour mini cruise of the Sogne Fjord, the longest and deepest fjord in the world. Marvel at the landscape as you sail into the Nærøy fjord – a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with small farms scattered on the steep hillsides of the fjord, cascading waterfalls and towering snow-clad mountains.
Disembark in Flåm and then continue with one of the most exceptional rail road trips in the world, the Flam Railway. With breath-taking views at every curve, it will take you up to the mountain station of Myrdal where you will connect to your train to Voss where the coach awaits your arrival and take you to Bergen.

Day 9 Bergen – Geilo

Buffet breakfast at the hotel
The guided tour of Bergen will take you to the famous open air fish market, stroll across to Bryggen where the traditional wooden medieval buildings still remain as in the times of the Hanseatic League.
Time at leisure for shopping, having lunch and maybe taking the funicular to the top of Mount Fløyen for a stunning view of Bergen.
In the afternoon, you continue towards the Hardanger Fjord with its romantic landscape of fruit orchards and rounded mountains. You will make a stop at the impressive Vøringsfoss waterfall with has a vertical drop of 180 meters, before ascending the Hardanger Mountain Plateau and reaching the resort town of Geilo.

Day 10 Geilo – Oslo

Buffet breakfast at the hotel
This morning, you will head to Oslo, the capital of Norway, with arrival around noon time. 
Some free time for lunch before going on the guided tour of Oslo, which takes you to the Frogner Park with the controversial sculptures of the famous Norwegian Gustav Vigeland.
Other highlights of the tour include the Royal Palace, the Medieval Fortress Akershus, the Modern Opera house, the City Hall etc.
Remainder of the day free to explore Oslo, the pedestrian street Karl Johan and the lovely shopping and restaurant wharf Aker Brygge.

Day 11 Oslo – DFDS Seaways

Buffet breakfast at the hotel
Free morning to continue exploring Oslo, maybe visit some of the famous maritime museums such as the Viking Ships or the Polar ship Fram.
Late afternoon, transfer to the pier for embarkation of the DFDS Seaways overnight cruise to Copenhagen.
Enjoy the view heading out through the Oslo Fjord from the deck or one of the cafés or bars on board.

Excursion by coach with a local guide to visit the famous Maritime Museums in the Peninsula of Bygdøy. You will visit the Vikings Ship Museum with three well-preserved original Viking ships. Continue to the Kon-Tiki Museum, with Thor Heyerdahl’s raft, and to the Fram Museum with the Polar ship, which was built for the Fridtjof Nasen’s expedition to the North Pole and later with Roald Amundsen to the South Pole.

Copenhagen

Dinner tonight at the famous Scandinavian Smorgåsbord’ buffet.

Day 12 Copenhagen

Buffet breakfast onboard as you sail into Copenhagen.
Directly upon arrival in Copenhagen, you will meet your local guide showing you some of the highlights of Copenhagen; the little Mermaid, the Gefion fountain, the Royal Residence Amalienborg Palace, Christianshavn and Nyhavn with its charming canals etc. 
Afternoon free to enjoy this fairy-tale city on your own.
